TCR Announces Dance Line-up

Joey Green BandThe dances under the covered pavilion have always been a drawing card to the Texas Cowboy Reunion and this year will be no exception! Four bands, each with its own unique sound, will bring excitement to the dance floor each night starting at 9:30 p.m.

Officially kicking off the dance line-up will be Fort Worth based country indie rockers- Joey Green Band. They will take to the TCR stage on Wednesday July 3, ticket prices will be $10 per person.

George DucasGeorge Ducas will perform Thursday night, July 4, with ticket prices being $10 per person. His Texas Music Chart hit "Breaking Stuff," was one of 2011's most played songs in Texas. His latest single, the summer stomper “CowTown,” recently hit the Top 10 on the Texas charts. Since first emerging as a deep-rooted country artist with contemporary appeal in the mid-to-late 1990's, he has enjoy hits as both a Nashville major label artist and songwriter. But his musical heart and soul reside in the honky-tonks, roadhouses and dancehalls of his native Lone Star State.

Jody NixGreen Snakes on the Ceiling and Tater Pie...You know what the means! Jody Nix once again takes the stage at the Texas Cowboy Reunion Dance on Friday night, ticket prices with be $15 per person. Most of you know him because he has been coming to the rodeo for many-many years. He is a well established artist in the great State of Texas and gives Glory and Thanks to God for the talent, and the ability to use it to play the music that he dearly loves. A true Traditional Country Music and Western Swing artist, he has been in the business 53 years. He has played dances and shows all over Texas and parts of the southwest. He leads one of the finest dance bands in Texas.

Whiskey MyersFinishing out the four nights of dances will be Whiskey Myers on Saturday, ticket prices will be $15 per person. If you are not familiar with the band Whiskey Myers, they are a music group from Tyler, Texas composed of Cody Cannon, Cody Tate, John Jeffers, Jeff Hogg and Gary Brown. They are a band that is quickly growing into something big. Their song “Ballad of a Southern Man” from their sophomore album titled Firewater has topped the Texas Music Chart since its release in 2011. All dance tickets will be sold at the door and all dances begin at 9:30 p.m. See y'all on the Dance Floor!
