If it’s entertainment you want, it’s entertainment you will get at the 85th Texas Cowboy Reunion in Stamford, Texas. You'll see TNT Rodeo Stock open the gate to some of the rankest bulls and broncs around- with events such as Saddle Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Bareback Riding, Calf Roping, Barrel Racing, Wild Mare Races and Wild Cow Milking — it's sure to be great fun for all.
This year's five days of festivities will be held June 30th, July 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. The TCR starts off with Team Roping in the Main Arena at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, followed by the Stamford Art Foundation's Art Preview Party later that afternoon at 6:30 p.m. at the John Selmon Memorial Gallery. Then on Wednesday, July 1
st, at 9:00 a.m. the Slack Barrel Racing will take place in the Main Arena. Later that afternoon at four o'clock, bring the whole family to the square in Stamford to enjoy the Grand Parade. The TCR's four nights of rodeo performances will begin at 8 p.m. each night, Wednesday, July 1st through Saturday, July 4th.
Thursday, July 2nd will once again be "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" night. Everyone is encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness. Even contestants will "cowboy up" and wear pink. A Kids Rodeo will be held at the Pavilion at 4:00 p.m.
Nightly dances will take place July 1st through July 4th at 9:30 p.m. Stay tuned for more information.
The Western Art Show and Trade Show will take place at the Pavilion Building - open daily starting on Wednesday. For vendor information contact Carla West at 940-743-3333 or 940-207-0421.
You also can enjoy a nightly chuck wagon dinner at the Ranch Chuck Wagons at 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
A cooking competition with chuck wagon and barbecue cook-offs will take place at 11 a.m. and noon Saturday, July 4, on the Chuck Wagon Grounds. Don't miss the Old Timers' Fiddler Contest at the Roundup Hall and Cowboy Poetry readings at the Bunkhouse- Saturday, July 4- admission is free.
